Hello friends,
I just wanted to take a moment to share some personal stuff. As some of you know, it’s been a tough couple of years, but an especially rough past year as my mama battles Alzheimer’s disease. I have been spending most of my time in New Brunswick taking care of her. This means my days are now filled with equal parts love, patience, and answering the same question 18 times in a row.
That said, it’s still business as usual! While I may be juggling a few extra responsibilities, my commitment to you remains as strong as ever. If you ever notice a slight delay, just know I’m probably reminding my mom that we already ate lunch, taking the milk out of the cupboard and putting it back in the fridge—or searching for her other sock.
I wasn’t able to attend the Winter One of a Kind Show this past season, and though I had hoped to make it for the spring show, unfortunately, it’s just not possible at this time. I’m hoping to find a solution with some help caring for my mom—so I can make it back to Toronto in the coming months.
This is a journey filled with both love and heartache.
Your support has always meant the world to me, and I truly appreciate your kindness as I navigate this chapter. If there are any delays or adjustments, please know it is never my intention to inconvenience you—I simply need to be present for my mom in the way she needs right now. Knowing I have such wonderful customers makes this journey a little bit easier (and a lot more meaningful). And I thank you all for your continued support! You have no idea.
I know a lot of people are going through similar things. If anyone ever needs to share stories, have a chat, commiserate… I am here.
With all my love,
xNicole
Hello Beautiful Beauty – I feel you. My Dad has started down the same path. If you need somebody to work a show for you, I’m sure Lisa and I would be game! I’m happy to be paid in clothes. Reach out if this resonates at all. PS. Lisa and I are the crazy ones that chat you up at OOAK and spring Handmade Market. I was the one who wanted a Nicole tunic:))
So sorry to read this – when I did not see your name on the Spring OOAK site I wondered…Big hugs to you and your Mom.
